As part of the joint Cyber project Media and Global Digital Space hosted a round table where leading experts discussed how small and medium businesses can improve their information security without spending excessive amounts of money.
During the event, the head of the partner relations department Security Vision Marina Gromova shared practical experience in protecting small and medium businesses from cyber threats and said:
• What is the main threat to small and medium businesses today;
• How ordinary employees affect a company's cybersecurity;
• Why do organizations begin to take measures to respond to incidents only after they have already occurred;
• Do information security solutions for SMEs always require huge budgets;
• How justified is it for SMEs to outsource information security;
• What mistakes can a small or medium business owner make when deciding to build an information security system on their own.
Marina paid special attention to the vulnerability scanner Security Vision VS Basic - a comprehensive tool for automating scanning processes, eliminating technical vulnerabilities and monitoring the state of assets from a cybersecurity point of view. Security Vision VS Basic enables small businesses (up to 500 IP addresses) to proactively identify and fix vulnerabilities in their IT infrastructure before they can be exploited. The product includes the key functionality of the classic VS (vulnerability scanning), VM (vulnerability management) and AM (asset and inventory management) modules, with the exception of the advanced management of platform builders, which are provided in the Security solution Vision VS for Enterprise segment.
