On June 6, a meeting with business representatives was held at Bauman Moscow State Technical University under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation M.G. Reshetnikov. The meeting was attended by representatives of the top management of the largest technology companies, the highest executive bodies of state power and non-profit organizations, including Geoscan Group, Aquarius Group, EFKO Group, IVA PJSC, the Government of Moscow (Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development), Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies and Healthcare, Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies, etc.
During the event, participants were able to get acquainted with the work of the Cybersecurity Monitoring Center (SOC center). One of the key tasks of the SOC center is to monitor the university's information infrastructure in order to identify cyber threats and promptly respond to them. In addition, the center acts as a training platform, training students of the Department of IU10 "Information Security" and students of additional professional education.
"The Cybersecurity Monitoring Center is unique in that it is one of the first in the country built entirely on the basis of domestic solutions - from operating systems to information security monitoring platforms. Thanks to the use of Security Vision technologies and solutions, as well as a high level of their automation, the architecture of the Center and its processes are built in such a way as to ensure continuous monitoring of information security events and prompt response to incidents. A special feature of the Center is its further close synergy with the educational process. Students have a unique opportunity to study modern cyber threats in real time that SOC specialists face, master advanced response and protection methods. Such a practice-oriented approach allows not only to improve the professional level of students, but also to prepare sought-after specialists ready to work in critical IT infrastructures," said Nikolai Goncharov, director of the Security Vision cybersecurity monitoring department.
