Vladimir Potapov, head of the Security Vision Expertise and Analytics Department, gave an interview to RBC at the GIS DAYS 2025 forum, touching on key challenges and trends in the field of information security.
According to the expert, cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated today: attackers are actively using artificial intelligence to automate phishing, create deepfakes and search for vulnerabilities. Ransomware attacks are particularly dangerous, including double extortion schemes, where data is not only encrypted, but can also be published.
In addition, the expert spoke about new Security Vision products: updated versions of SOAR and Vulnerability Scanner, as well as the launch of a line of Security Vision Basic solutions for small and medium-sized businesses with quick installation, simple integration and affordable cost.
In the near future, according to Vladimir's forecast, the market will see a reduction in attack and response time through the use of AI, increased regulation of algorithms, and increased attention to cyber hygiene and the principle of secure by design.
